How to make your perfume last longer?

Throughout your life you may have been looking for that perfect perfume to make it your signature designer fragrance. You may have visited many shops, sniffed hundred of bottles and decided to make one of them your favorite. All this was an outwearing process but at least you found the right one. However, you noticed something. The scent does not stay that long and it feels like you are wasting that perfect perfume every time you wear it. This must have happened to every person sometime in life but there are useful ways that can make your perfume stay longer all day and night. Here are some tips that may be helpful to save your perfume from getting wasted.

1. Make sure that you have washed your skin before applying perfume. Never use any of men’s women’s perfume to hide your body’s unpleasant odor. Perfumes will only work for a shorter duration after which your body odor will overpower its scent leading to unpleasant smell and skin issues. It is better to seek professional help when it comes to body or skin issues that are interrupting the overall effect of your perfume. It is important to test perfume on your skin before using it directly on your body. Make sure that you do not have any skin irritations or sores before or after using any perfume.

2. Do not use perfumes as a replacement for your deodorant or antiperspirant. Perfumes and deodorants serve different purposes. You can use perfumes and deodorants/antiperspirants at the same time on your body. If you are worried that your deodorants smell will overpower your designer perfumes scent, do not be. Deodorants indeed help increase your perfumes effect by removing the unwanted body odor.

3. Moisture prolongs the effect of a perfume. Perfumes work best in environments that are moist. Thus if you have dry skin, you must put on some moisture to improve its moisture content. Choosing a moisturizing cream that has a similar smell as that of your perfume will help increase your perfume’s effect. Make sure to spray perfume in common pressure points like neck, wrists and back of your knees. These pressure points remain moist enough to give your perfume scent a long lasting effect.
